Mathilde has worked at BRUT since March 2025. After completing her internship at Architeam, a summer internship at Atelier Kanal Brussel and a few months of travel, Mathilde will mainly strengthen the team in the field of architecture.

Because of her interest in circularity, she also followed some modules of the postgraduate course in circular construction at Ghent University during her internship, which gave an interesting introduction to the subject.

In 2016 Mathilde started her architecture course at the KULeuven in Brussels, in Sint-Lukas. For her master’s thesis ‘The growth and development of diplomatic housing in Brussels in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries’, she conducted research on an urban scale into the locations of the foreign embassies, consulates and legations in Brussels. For this she developed map material with QGIS to map out the changes over time. Her master’s thesis was also submitted for the Flemish Thesis Prize.

During her studies, she also studied for six months at Bergen Arkitekthøgskole in Norway, where architecture and landscape are central, with a focus on construction traditions, innovation, materials, and sustainability.
