Kim obtained her master’s degree in architecture in 2013 at the Provinciale Hogeschool Limburg. During her master year at the Faculdade de Arquitetura in Lisbon she developed a fascination with urban derelict sites and entropy in the built environment. She further investigated this in her thesis, where she developed a theoretical and practical framework for the reconversion of abandoned industrial buildings.
After her studies, she gained experience working in offices based in Paris and Brussels. At uapS she worked on competitions for large scale urban projects and housing developments in France and Belgium for 2 years. The more practical side of architecture was highlighted during the 5 years she spent at Architectslab. Here she was responsible for the elaboration of various architectural projects, from preliminary design to building site follow-up.
In October 2019 she joined BRUT, where she focuses on architectural projects.
