Emmanuel started the Bachelor in Engineering: Architecture at the KU Leuven in 2010. After the bachelor, he chose the Master ‘Urban Project’, where he got acquainted with the urban scale and the design of public space. His master thesis talked about the problematic context of the Palestinian Refugee Camp ‘Gaza Camp’ in Jordan. He resided 2 months in Jordan, doing fieldwork in collaboration with UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees). The thesis was very well received and gained a nomination for the Graduation Prize of the Flemish organisation for urban planning as well as the First Prize of the ‘Maarten Bouwenprijs’ for sustainable architecture and urbanism. After finishing his master’s degree in architecture in 2015, he went on to obtain a bachelor degree in Art Sciences in 2016.
Emmanuel started in September 2016 at BRUT. He has been working from the Copenhagen office since 2019.
